5 Days Intensive Thai Language Course Highlights

  2. Review what you have learnt daily.
  3. Respect your classmates.
  4. You are allowed to say “pass” and follow your pace.
  5. Arrive early and don’t drink alcohol during your lunch break.
  6. Be positive and enjoy your learning.
  7. Trust the instructors and the process.

5 Days Intensive Thai Language Course Highlights

Thai Course Descriptions – Level 1:

  1. Greetings and partings, formal and informal, politely.
  2. Asking and answering “yes” and “no” questions and numbers (1 – 10,000).
  3. Making basic sentence structures included the transformation of questions.
  4. Introducing yourself and asking for name, surname, full name and how to spell it.
  5. General useful phrases such as excuse me, sorry, you’re welcome, nice to meet you, pardon me? etc.
  6. Making sentences about nationalities with your classmates including creating questions.
  7. Asking Thai people what part of or province in Thailand they are from.
  8. Talking about what job you have and find out what others do for a living.
  9. Making negative sentences of to be (is not, am not, are not).
  10. Learning can, cannot and can you?…combine with availability, ability and permission.
  11. Phrases for learning more Thai such as what is this called in Thai? What does it mean? Etc.
  12. Ordering food and drink items and describing in basic detail including offering the items.

  • Breakfast will be served at 8 am. Thai breakfast will be served with fruits or Thai snacks.
  • Americano Coffee or Tea included. Lunch will be served at 1 pm after class.
  • Authentic Thai lunch to include light curries, soups, or vegetable dishes.

Afternoon Activities

Monday – 3 pm: visit PhraS aeng old village, along the river. See traditional teak Thai homes, both located on the road and styled homes over the river. Visit the Monday market which runs through part of the old village. Finishing at the river restaurant on the Tapee River to sample local dishes.

Tuesday – 3 pm: visit an organic fruit plantation owned and worked on by a young local lady, K. Sow. She is part of the Government Young Farmers Group, that educates people on how to set up and grow your own organic garden, for locals to live off their land as their ancestors did many years ago.

Wednesday – 3 pm: A visit to the local market.

Thursday – 3 pm: Quiz on fruit tree names and questions on Rubber Tapping at Baan Farang Homestay. 3 pm A demonstration of rubber tapping on Baan Farang Homestay grounds. A tour of our fruits and nut trees to learn the names in Thai.

Friday – Graduation: A visit to the seafood, meat and fish market to purchase items for the BBQ (at costs of student).

The fee Includes:

A 20 hour intensive Thai conversation course, 6 night accommodation in one of the aforementioned rooms ( check in on a Sunday and check-out on Saturday ) breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday, afternoon activities from Monday to Friday, course bag, final diploma and graduation.

The fee excludes:

Transportation to and from Baan Farang Homestay Phra Saeng – Arrangements can also be made for a private transfer from Krabi, Koh Samui, Phuket, Phang Nga or Surat Thani at an additional fee. Accommodation if an external hotel is preferred. Meals & drinks not highlighted in the course details.
